Launch of Michael Kirby Award
The MKA - Michael Kirby ASEAN Award is a prestigious recognition established by the Australian South East Asian Network - ASEAN Ltd to honor individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to human rights, justice, and the promotion of "Australian values" within cross-cultural and diaspora communities.
The award is named after The Hon. Michael Kirby AC CMG, the former High Court Justice and international human rights icon who famously served as the UN Special Representative for Human Rights in Cambodia in 1994.
